Ok, so if you’ve been waiting for Justin Timberlake to return to music – wait no longer. Buuuut if you’re waiting for another “Future Sex/Love Sounds,” you might be waiting just a little while longer.

Timberlake has signed on to be the musical supervisor and to compose the soundtrack to the film “The Devil and the Deep Blue See,” which is slated to start shooting later this year. Starring in the film is the future Mrs. Timberlake, Jessica Biel.

If you’re keeping track, Timberlake last released an album in 2006 – although he maintains that he’s always loved music. Back in June of 2011, Timberlake told “Playboy” magazine that he still had music on his mind. “You go through spurts when you miss it. In a perfect world, I’d love to be able to involve myself in music and films as they come and go,” he said. “But I’m always writing music, always thinking about ideas for songs.”

But he didn’t continue speaking as positively. “Unfortunately, the music business is what taints an artists’ desire to make music,” Timberlake says. “I don’t want to paint a picture of being jaded, because I love making music. I honestly love it. But there is a level where making music becomes a total life-sucking commitment.” Damn, Justin… don’t make it sound so bad!

Also, if you recall, Timberlake was involved in the 35 million dollar purchase of MySpace last year. Currently, Timberlake and company are looking for a new PR agency with plans to relaunch MySpace as “an interactive fan site” where people can go to “connect with their favorite entertainers, listen to music, watch videos, share and discover cool stuff, and just connect.” Really, Justin? “MySpace has the potential to be that place,” Timberlake said last year.

Great idea, Justin. Now please record another album?
