The news comes just two days after Armstrong went off the rails in Vegas during a performance at the iHeartRadio Music Festival. He screamed obscenities, slammed Justin Bieber and violently smashed his guitar on-stage.

In a statement, the band apologized for the incident and said their set was not cut short by Clear Channel, the host of the two-day festival.
Billie Joe is seeking treatment for substance abuse. We would like everyone to know that our set was not cut short by Clear Channel and to apologize to those we offended at the iHeartRadio Festival in Las Vegas. We regretfully must postpone some of our upcoming promotional appearances.
The Grammy winning band also is canceling some of its promotional appearances. It is due to release the album "Uno" on Tuesday.
